Australian charitable venture Mate Rock is sponsoring a visit to Western Australia for students from Iitate Village, Fukushima Prefecture, who were affected by Japan’s March 2011 disasters. The trip is also backed by Meat and Livestock Australia, and Australia-Japan Foundation. The students will partner with Great Southern Grammar school in Albany. The goal? To provide a positive and inspiring experience and further strengthen Japan-Australia ties.

From Trish and Martin Brock
ReplyDeleteIt gave us great pleasure to welcome you and your group to our home when you were in
Western Australia recently.
We find it so hard to comprehend the loss you and your community have suffered. Please
always remember that Australians feel very deeply for you all.
We have so enjoyed reading the " blog" about what you saw and did while in Perth and Albany,
hopefully everyone will have very many happy memories of the time here.
Martin and I would also like to say thank you for the gift of the book on your beautiful village.
